Dirt bike riders injured

Two dirt bike riders were seriously injured when they collided at an Onewhero track yesterday. One of the riders, 18, went over a take-off ramp carved into the side of a hill and landed on the other rider, also 18. One rider received serious back injuries and the other a broken wrist, a fire service spokesman said. The Auckland rescue helicopter was called to transport both riders to Waikato Hospital.
