A big thank you to all of the swimmers, kayakers, boat support, and volunteers who took part in the 2021 Westpac Chopper Swim on 25 March 2021. In total, over $46,000 was raised from this year's event!
Brave souls took to the waters of the Hauraki Gulf swimming 20km from Waiheke Island to Auckland City to fundraise for the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopters. The conditions were perfect, and it was a marvelous personal achievement for all involved.
The Westpac Chopper Swim first came about in 2016 when a small and inspired group of long distance swimming devotees, decided to take the ultimate plunge and raise money for a cause they were all passionate about.
The Westpac Chopper Swim has now raised over $450,000. That’s 90 lives saved!
All participants agree to raise money for the vital Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter service. Everyone can participate in some way – get behind our swimmers and support them as they take on the challenge of a life-time that will help save lives.
